The Challenge

Competing with the county for its own name

River City Correctional Center (RCCC) is one of eighteen Community Based Correctional Facilities in Ohio: a local alternative to prison for felony offenders, built on treatment, education and reentry. It houses up to 220 residents at 3220 Colerain Avenue in Camp Washington, Cincinnati, with more than 90 staff on site around the clock. The hard part is search. When families, attorneys and job seekers look up River City, Hamilton County’s own government pages and links about the center are right there in the results. RCCC needed a site of its own that Google would trust enough to put at the top, and that would answer the visitation, handbook, program and job questions people are actually searching for.

What We Did

Two websites, a new logo and video, all from one team

Launched the rivercitycorrectionalcenter.com domain and RCCC’s first website, and have hosted and supported it ever since
Built pages around what people search for, from visitation and the resident handbook to inmate questions, programs and jobs
Designed a new logo for River City, with a round badge and a wide version for the site header
Rebuilt the website from the ground up as version two, launched October 2026, with pages for the facility, leadership, programs, treatment, visitation, commissary, PREA and employment
Put the resident handbook, program sheet and annual report online so families and partner agencies can find them in one click
Produced marketing videos for the new site

The Results

1.97 Average Google position for “river city correctional center” (Google Search Console)

Up against Hamilton County’s own pages, River City’s site averaged position 1.97 on Google for “river city correctional center” over the last 12 months (Oct. 8, 2025 – Oct. 7, 2026, Google Search Console), and position 1.16 for “river city correctional center jobs.” Across every search it appears in, its average position improved from 13.6 to 7.8 comparing June 10 – Oct. 7, 2026 with the same window in 2025. The site earned 8,086 Google clicks and 120,219 impressions in 12 months, and Google Analytics shows users up 14% comparing December through September with the year before. Version two launched in October 2026 to build on that lead.
