Ben McGinnis, who founded MCG, comes from a Steubenville family that came from Ireland, with three generations of union men in the mills and plants across the river in Weirton, West Virginia. Ben’s great-grandfather was a leader in unionizing Weirton Steel, his grandfather was a union steelworker in Weirton, and his father was a Teamster at U.S. Can Company in Weirton. He grew up around people who learned a trade from the ones before them, did the work to a standard, and put their name on it. That is how we see what we do. Building a website that brings in work is a skilled trade, and it is why contractors and tradesmen are our favorite clients. They already know what good work looks like.

Here is what that means on a real project.

We walk the job before we quote it

Nobody good prices a roof from the street. Before we quote a website, we look at what you have: what Google already sends you, which pages earn calls, what is broken, and what is worth keeping. We tell you what we would change and why. There is no charge for that part.

We measure before we cut

We work from your real numbers in Google Search Console and Google Analytics, not guesses. When we rebuilt the site for Creegan’s Windows Plus, we built a page for each service they wanted more of. In the last three months of Search Console data, 27 of their core service searches rank #1 on Google.

We build it to code

A house has a code because the shortcuts that save a day now cost years later. Websites have one too, even if nobody inspects it: pages that arrive as finished HTML every search engine and AI tool can read, a real title on every page, structured data that tells machines who you are and where you work, and a site that loads fast on a phone in a driveway. Here is what happens when a site skips that.

We work the punch list

Before a site goes live we walk it like a final inspection: every form sends where it should, every old address redirects to its new page, every phone number taps to call, and every page is checked on a phone. Nothing ships with “we’ll fix it later.”

We stand behind it

A good contractor takes the callback. We don’t launch and leave. We host your site, keep it fast and secure, and make your changes, back in 12 hours on average. When the design starts to show its age, we redesign it, and you never have to start over with a new company.

J. Riley Roofing in Pickerington has been with us since 2020. Its site has been redesigned and rebuilt three or four times since, by the same team that built the first one.

We put our name on it

Ben’s name is on your account. When something needs doing, you know who to call, and you get someone who knows your site.

If you work with your hands for a living and you want a website built the way you build, see our contractor work or give us a call.
